We are in the final hours of the Trump Presidency, finally! It feels like we packed a whole life in four years and I cannot fathom how time will feel once he is gone. This is a bittersweet time, as we are moving forward, but at a terrible expense, which I am praying will veer us toward the righteous path for many decades. We could use a long respite.

Of course, the American experience is not an easy one. It is full of painful episodes and, when we're lucky, mea culpas. Maybe because of that, Americans are so self-deprecating. In Washington, D.C., someone posted a sign on the side of the road with "Florida: He's all yours." And that's the thing in America, you can always find someone who is your kind of crazy, even when you're an asshole. Let's see how long the honeymoon will last.
